  1. My wife and I really enjoy Dice Masters. With the Pantheon expansion 7 Wonders: Duel is an honorable mention.

  2. Star Wars Rebellion, Stronghold, 7 Wonders Duel, Raptor, Hive, Onitama & Hero Realms – depending on time and partner 🙂

  3. Love 7 Wonders Duel, Patchwork, Jaipur, and Tides of Time/Madness.

  4. Lost Cities is my favorite 2-player game. The tension is so delicious! Can't believe it's not getting more love.

  5. Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective is a must. Best two-player game ever.

  6. Yeaaaahhh for hanamikoji! No one mentioned The Duke, Matcha, or Carcassonne: The Castle! Four way tie for me 🙂

  7. After so many years playing it, it's still… Rivals for Catan. Next would be: Omen, Odin's Ravens, Kahuna, and Winner's Circle.

  8. Race for the Galaxy, Star Realms, Tantrix

  9. Another Targi fan.
Just got Santorini and we're having lots of fun. Still going through the easy gods. Looking forward to the advanced god and Golden Fleece. It will still have to prove it's staying power.

  10. Santorini, followed closely by Patchwork, 7 Wonders Duel, Memoir 44, Neuroshima Hex! and Chess.

  11. I live in a rural part of the country, where gamers are hard to find. I'm lucky if I can scare up even one person to play a game with. So I need a two-player game that is also a good gateway game: easy to learn, fast to play, and a low component profile (too many pieces scare people away) but also has some strategic depth and makes people want to play again. So my favorite two-player game: Lost Cities. For more depth, I like Star Wars: Queen's Gambit. Whatever you think about Episode I, this game is a lot of fun. It captures the sense of lots of things happening at the same time, and everything needing your limited resources right away. Unfortunately, due to the movie tie-in, the game is probably out of print forever. So used copies are sold at too high a price for my budget.

  12. War of the Ring, Star Wars Rebellion, Viticulture, Memoir 44, Caverna

  13. Roy, I'm really liking this new series of yours. Great idea! I'll be checking in each week for sure 🎲
My favourite 2 player games at the moment are:

    Raptor
    Onitama
    Sun Zhu
    7 Ronin
    Funghi
    7 Wonders Duel
    Star Wars Risk
    Star Wars Rebellion
    Lord of the Rings Confrontation

There's so many more multiplayer games that are great with 2, but that's for another list =)

  14. Gotta be Star Wars Rebellion which is also my favorite game of all time.

  15. Who was that handsome man who suggested battle of the five armies, he was just so incredibly handsome. Why doesn't he have a dice tower section?

  16. Hanabi! This is excellent as a two player game

  17. Has to be Star Wars Destiny and Star Realms.

  18. Cannot say this enough: Favorite Game Fridays was an amazing idea!

  19. War of the ring seems like a fun 2 player game yet I cant seem to find anywhere to buy this for a reasonable price. (I'm not from the US, live in Australia)

  20. Right now Santorini, Tash Ka'lar, Hero realms

  21. 1. 7 Wonders Duel
    2. Hive
    3. Summoner Wars
    4. Twilight Struggle

  22. Really? No one is gonna say Battle line???

    BATTLE LINE!!

  23. My fav. 2 player game ATM is: The war of the ring (second edition) by Roberto Di Meglio, Marco Maggi & Francesco Nepitello (2012)

  24. Definitely For the Crown!
Deck building mixed with chess. Sounds weird but fits amazingly well.

  25. well summoner wars is the answer.
that's just like fact n stuff

  26. My wife and I play a 6 hour run through of Carcassonne with a lot of expansions, and the game will end when we run out of pace on the tablet on which we have chosen to play. That's my favorite two player game.

  27. Favorite Wife-Friendly 2-player Game: Santorini
Favorite Non-wife-Friendly 2-player Game: Pixel Tactics

  28. my best so far is Isle of Skye! and it's a fab game for more players. Jaipur is very satisfying too but it's a newer game for me so I wanna see if it gets stale.
